AssessmentStudents are assessed in physical education by using authentic,
alternative, performance, and traditional based assessments. Each Physical Education student will be graded on the following: • 8 points given each day (Effort and Participation) • Students who do not dress out for PE will be not allowed to participate and may be required to complete a make-up article or non- participation form. • Following each unit, there may be a quiz varying in points. For certain units, skill tests will be given as well. • Students will also be pre and post-tested on various fitness components and graded on whether or not they met their goal. 50%: Effort and Participation 30%: Quizzes/Assignments/Homework/Projects 20%: Physical Skills/Skill Improvement |
